Title: kik-textilien

Introduction: KiK Textilien und Non-Food GmbH is a textile discounter based in Bonen, Germany, founded in 1994 by Stefan Heinig and the holding company Tengelmann Group.

KiK is the largest textile discounter chain in Germany and operates over 2900 stores in Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia.



Title: TEDI

Introduction: TEDi is a family-friendly 1 euro discount shop. The various stores of this Dortmund based company offered products for everyday used, gifts and decorative items, games and stationery, party materials, hardware, and drugstore items since May 2004, and all items are priced from 1 euro and up. And since May 2011, TEDi has also started offering its products in Austria and since June 2012 in Slovenia. 


TEDi therefore guarantees low prices, good quality, and a wide range of products according to the company motto "everything 1 euro and up".


TEDi is a part of a continuously developing market segment. "Everything 1 euro and up" - TEDi has managed to make a name for itself in the 1 euro discount store business according to this motto. TEDi has already opened more than 1,315 stores as of July 2012 , and we have also been active in Austria since May 2011 and in Slovenia since June 2012. With 150 new openings across Europe this year, TEDi plans on managing 2,000 storesstores in the near future. 


TEDi's success is based on the combination of a unique selection of 1 euro items, vigilant monitoring of the market, and quick responses to trends. TEDi also keeps coming up with innovations in designing its product ranges. Additional seasonal offers during Christmas, Easter, or at the start of school ensure that the focus is placed on specific seasons



Title: WIBRA

Introduction: The beginning of

In 1956 started Mr. J. Wierdsma a shop in Epe. He named the store 'Wibra "a combination of his own surname and maiden name of his wife (Braam). In 1967 the store expanded, including a large warehouse space. This space served as a central warehouse for the first five branches. In 1970 a brand new central warehouse and opened in 1973 was the 25th Wibra a fact.


The famous leaflets

In 1977 Jo Wierdsma got the bright idea to Wibra ads to replace door-to-door leaflets. The circulation time was 102,000 pieces. Meanwhile, they distribute every two weeks about 6 million leaflets.


From 1978 to now

In 1978, Wibra another new central warehouse with office space. This complex is still our home. And even though they have over half a century after about 2700 employees in about 280 branches in the Netherlands and Belgium and they are still growing by: they are still a family business. And they do everything to the unique atmosphere that goes anywhere. 



Title: EDCO

Introduction: EDCO Eindhoven B.V., founded in 1978 as an import/export company, has since that time earned itself a unique position as a global trading corporation. EDCO focuses on a large number of target groups, such as large-scale distributors, resellers, chain shops, catalogue merchants, warehouses, and retail shops.


The assortment consists of more than 20,000 products, including household goods, electronics, garden-, bicycle-, sports- and seasonal accessories, toys, tools, car- and truck accessories, and licensed articles.

Title: TOTTUS

Introduction: Tottus is a chain of Chilean supermarkets, that competes with Lider, Jumbo, and Santa Isabel supermarkets.


The company was established in Peru in 2002, and was acquired by Chilean retailer Falabella in 2004. The company has twenty-six locations with over a dozen in the Santiago Metropolitan Area and others throughout the remainder of the country, as well as in Peru.Tottus has announced plans to further expand within Peru, and into Colombia and Argentina, with as many as forty new locations in 2011.The company follows the hypermarket model and currently has 6.5% of market share in Chile.The company's goal is to reach ten percent in 2011.The company competes with Lider supermarkets. 



Title: Jumbo

Introduction: In 1986, a new toy store is born in Athens! It's called Jumbo and it's made of joy, fun & carelessness!

Driven by its love for toys and need for creativity, it soon gains people's acknowledgement!


Today, 25 years later, thanks to their distribution in toys sector and playing, as well as their competitive prices, they remain No1 in children's and adults' hearts!


Jumbo stores have become the biggest toy store chain in our country and one of the biggest retailers with 58 stores: 48 in Greece, 3 in Cyprus, 7 in Bulgaria and approximately 3.000 employees.
